Water JPI 2018 Joint Call "Closing the Water Cycle Gap – Sustainable Management of Water Resources"
The Water JPI is opening its 5th joint call within the ERA-NET Cofund program WaterWorks2017 in mid-February 2018. The call aims to address research and innovation to support the implementation of EU water policy, on the thematic area "Closing the Water Cycle Gap - Improving sustainable water resource management" of the Water JPI Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda. In many regions, it may be difficult to reconcile water supply and demand both in terms of quantity and quality, but also in terms of space and time. Closing the water cycle gap refers here to bridge the gap in "supply – demand", and the call will be organised around the following three challenges:
- Enabling Sustainable Management of Water Resources
- Strengthening Socio-economic Approaches to Water Management
- Supporting Tools for Sustainable Integrative Management of water Resources
The Water JPI 2018 Joint Call will be funded by 21 Funding Partner Organisations from 19 countries and with the support of the European Commission.
A webinar for applicants is planned for March, and the submission date for pre-proposals for Mid-April 2018.
