PLATFORM Annual Event 10-11 September 2015, Berlin

Theme: 'ERA-NETs for Impact and Global Cooperation'

The H2020 project Platform of bioeconomy ERA-NET Actions (PLATFORM) brings together ERA‐NETs in the area of the bioeconomy with the following objectives: to increase collaboration among actors, to foster inclusiveness, to increase capacities for efficient and effective ERA‐NETs, and to inform research policy making. PLATFORM will further strengthen mutual learning, maximise synergies and increase coordination. With this event PLATFORM continues the series of annual meetings for the family of bioeconomy coordination networks organised in 2012 (Copenhagen), 2013 (Paris) and 2014 (Leiden), each with a programme composed of some recurring and some special topics.

The theme of this event held on 10-11 September was ‘ERA-NETs for Impact and Global Cooperation’. ERA-NETs that focus on collaboration with regions or countries beyond Europe spoke in the session dedicated to global cooperation, as well as bioeconomy ERA-NETs that have international partners. This followed after a session on alignment,  collaboration needs and interactions. The second day was on communication for impact, with group work on scenario’s. Two networks ERA-MBT (see newsitem) and Joint EIARD SCAR Strategic Working Group - ARCH organised their meetings back-to-back with PLATFORM and there was a joint boat trip with dinner.
